Brandon turns 32 in 15 days. Over the next 15 days he will recieve a message from a different family member daily. Each family member took the time to think about Brandon and what they love most about him. We all know Brandon, he has been around for almost 32 years ( : But I wanted something he can go back and look at whenever he wants, something creative, something more than material items. So what better way than bringing the people he loves together to send him a special birthday message.
Brandon accomplished a lot in his twenties.. and after turning 30 and 31. Graduated with a bachelors in business administration, bought our first home, traveled and its also when I tricked him into marrying me. When he was 29 we had our daughter, Kennedy. Although he is successful at anything he tries, his calling without a doubt is being a Dad. He proved to me, what I've suspected for so long, that he is the most kind, patient, loving father a little girl could have. He is a wonderful father.
He started a career in the oil and gas industry and continues to challenge himself daily. He amazes his co-workers and boss with his work ethic, quick learning, and just purely how flippin smart this guy is. Sometimes I'm a little jealous about how fast and accurately he accomplishes new things.
I'm so proud of him.
But his endeavours are not over. Not even close. One of the things I love the most are his dreams, where he wants to be, his ideas. He never wants to be complacent with himself, always bettering himself. I love that he is interested in investments and reads about business and entrepreneurship.
His heart for adventure is one of my favorites about him. He is always up for a drive to the woods followed by a hike, or strapping our bikes to the car and heading out for miles of bike riding. I love that he can sit at a fancy restaurant and have a delicious meal with glasses of wine.. or wine tastings ( ; but the next day set out for a hike with a big ole (bad for us) hamburger. I love that he loves the beach like I do, we can sit by the beach all day. He plays and plays and plays but can sit back and relax with me. We are very blessed, we have seen some amazing places. He wants to see the world and I am lucky I get to see it with him.
We all know our Brandon is shy. But after being with him for 12 years I have grown to love parts of his shyness. One thing I have heard from several people is that, since he doesn't just talk all the time, when he does we listen. He talks when he has something to say. He is not boastful at all. Never bragging about things he has done or will do. And yes, at times I get frustrated and want him brag on himself or tell people about things he's done (because I am so proud of him). But he always tells me one thing, "thats not why I do things for people, I don't need to brag, I am confident, and my family and friends know why I don't need to be boastful". .......uhh right. Can I please get a little bit of that thinking?!
His faith and love for God is so strong. And he shows it with his actions, with his forgiving heart, with his patience for people, and his acceptance for all.
He has said to me, "Your beliefs do not make you a better person, your behavior does".
He is the kindest most authentic man I've known. What you see is what you get.
He has been there for each and every one of us multiple times. He does things for us with a smile asking nothing in return. He's happy. He's loyal. He loves his family with everything he is.
And I'm proud to say he's ours.
Over the next 15 days I will be sharing messages from people who have loved, served, encouraged, and supported him for 32 years.
Thank you for joining me in celebrating our Brandon.
Happy early Birthday Brandon. You are so loved.

Oh my goodness Lacey, I have no words to explain how much this has touched me...as I sit here with tears running down my face. You continue to impress me with how much love you shower me with. I am truly as blessed as anybody I know to have you, Kennedy, and our whole family. The amount of people in my life that I am lucky enough to be able to call close to me is more than I could ever ask for. Every day that I come home work from work I look forward to seeing you and Kennedy and it immediately takes away any stress or worried that I have. You both love me so unconditionally....and that is the most amazing thing that I could ever ask for as a Dad and a husband. I love you so much.
