Aunt Kelly

Day 13
Today you'll hear from Aunt Kelly. I have to say how much I love their relationship. I can't say enough good words about Aunt Kelly. The stories I have heard of her and Brandon when he was younger are some of my favorites. She has always been a huge supporter for Brandon, encouraging him, giving us both advice when we need it. She is a friend to us both. The Aunt she is to Kennedy is what we pray for. She is so involved in her life, so loving, so fun, always telling her she loves her. She's truly an exceptional Aunt. We have some wonderful memories with her and her family.

Now for a few words from Aunt Kelly.

Dear Brandon,

Happy Birthday to my eldest nephew.  You were the first grandkid and my first nephew.  I have always loved you beyond measure!  I am so lucky to be your aunt and have enjoyed so many moments of your life with you.  Thanks for always letting me be a part of your life.  I loved keeping you every chance I had.  I am very thankful your mom and dad were young and allowed me to have you often!  I used to pretend like you were mine – because I never knew if I would get to have kids or not.  I remember the blue and white sailor suit; you loving clothes on your second birthday; watching you play baseball, basketball and golf; sitting in my cabinet playing with pot and pans; sitting in the dishwasher; and doing hair color for the entire baseball team.  Those are just a few of the memories over the years.  I have loved watching you grow into the wonderful young man you are today.  It’s been a special blessing to see you become a father.  Becoming a parent changes you in ways you never dreamed possible.  Ken is so lucky to have such a loving Father as you.  You are also an awesome husband to Lacey even though you didn’t have such great role models in this area of your life.  I’ve always prayed for you, Dustin, Blake and Bailee to have great marriages with strong Christian spouses.  God will take care of you if you always look to Him for answers.

As you celebrate your birthday – remember that you can do anything you set your mind to.  Always remember that you only have one day to live so live it to the fullest.  Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here – so today is all we have.  Live in the moment and try not to miss any of them.

Remember that I love you more than you can ever imagine and can’t imagine my life without you!  I will always love you as my own child and would do anything for you!  Enjoy your birthday and know that you will always be loved by your crazy ole Auntie!

Love you to the moon!   Aunt Kelly
