Mags

Day 10.
Today you'll hear from Maggie... the smart one you can talk to about smart things. Brandon met Maggie when she was 10 years old. First you have to know how close Maggie and I were.. we were best buddies. Did everything together and shared a room. So when Brandon came along a lot of my time was spent with him of course, but he was the best about coming over my house and hanging out with me AND my sisters. I could be best buddies with Mag when she was here but get to hang out with Brandon too. From then on it was Brandon with all the girls. Maggie is similar to Brandon in a lot of ways and I think thats why they get along so well. They are both super duper smart. Every time we see Mag now that shes all grown they talk about smart stuff... law school.. careers...business stuff... ohh and tv shows. I'll hear Brandon texting during his tv shows, then he'll make a comment like oh yea Mag saw this already. I love that he feels so close to her. He's always really enjoyed Maggie and now Maggie and Landry. But what we love most right now is how much she loves Kennedy. She is always commenting and asking all about Kennedy. Since Maggie lives in Norman to go to law school we don't see her as much as we'd like but that never stops her from being close to Brandon, Kennedy, and myself. Kennedy talks about her Aunt Mag like she lives next door. We will never forget how much she loves our little Ken.

We have so many memories with Mag... her first ice skating experience, trips to OSU, movies, endless zoo trips, wetting her pants in my car from laughing so hard, walmart scavanger hunts. I remember when Brandon surprised me with a trip to New York for New Years.. and little did I know he was going to propose. Well when I was leaving home little Maggie was bawling and hugging me tightly. I thought to myself aw my little buddy is going to miss me. But later I found out she wasn't crying because she was going to miss me, she was crying because she was so happy and excited for her best buddy and new buddy Brandon. She was my little shadow and was simply crying tears of happiness (and maybe just a little cause I was leaving). haha!

Now for a few words from your smarty pants friend and sister, Mags.

Happy Birthday, Brandon!

You are such a special part of our family, and I am so blessed to call you my brother-in-law. Growing up, Lacey was my best friend, and I never thought anyone would be good enough for her. When I would go visit on the weekends, I would be so upset when she would be out with a boyfriend, and secretly, I relished her breakups, because I would get my buddy back! When you started coming around, I thought, “Oh great, here we go again.” Except, you quickly proved to be the outlier. Your morals and values quickly proved to put not only family first, but our family first. More times than not, you have been around when I have been visiting. In fact, a day would be strange in our world if we didn’t see you at some point that day. You have been in attendance during moments of all of our greatest accomplishments, and have been there for some of the worst times for our family. Never did I think I would love having a brother so much, but I am so glad that you are mine. Thank you for continuing to be a blessing to our lives and for taking such good care of my best bud! Happy Birthday, I love you!

 Maggie
