The In-Laws..Robin and Scott

Day 4

Today you'll hear from your In laws, Robin and Scott. Since these are my parents I could on all day about how much I love these two and how much fun we have around them. But this is for Brandon so I'm gonna about talk his relationship with them. However, after I got to thinking its really not far from my relationship with them. Brandon and my parents are close. My parents think he does no wrong and Brandon thinks they are two of the best (easiest to get along with) in laws ever. They are so encouraging of him and our family, his plans, his dreams. We go to them for advice for just about anything. One of the things we appreciate the most is when we ask for their input or advice they listen first. They hear us and listen to us with absolutely no judgment at all. They don't start talking about themselves or their stories and blow right over us. And they always give the best advice or direction. My parents are very smart people and we trust them so very much. Their support, encouragment, interest in our lives, unconditional love, direction, jokes, and love for our Kennedy mean the world to us. The holidays with crazy sweaters or crazy hats, sipping on mimosas and eating sausage balls, the pool parties with shrimp boils or Moms famous fuzzys tacos or Dads kabobs and one too many club specials, the beach vacations, the Jimmy Buffett concerts, the hockey games, or just the sunday dinners or late night redbox movies with them begging us to spend the night so they can hang out with us and Ken a little longer.. all those things we cherish and will never forget. Brandon has said mulitple times, "Lets go to your parents house, I like it there, its cozy and like home".
Brandons comes right in, takes his shoes off and curls up on the couch to watch sports with my Dad. That right there is a sign he is totally comfortable there and for that I am thankful. Brandon and Dad.. well they're pretty much best friends. They text and talk more than I do with my Dad! My Dad teases and jokes hard but Brandon totally goes with it, he gets my Dad. Brandon is the perfect son in law to my Dad, he can put up with my Dad and give it right back to him. And I know Brandon loves the cool (usally sports themed) presents he gets from them.
But what we both love and appreciate more than anything right now is how much they love our Kennedy. Kennedy is crazy about her Yaya and Poppy. I am blessed to have a Mom and Dad who love my husband so much and to have a husband who loves and thinks the world of my parents.

Now for a few words from the In-laws.

Dear B,

When we were invited to share a birthday wish to you, (upon request of the most amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend in the world).... we thought oh how easy this would be....because you know I love to talk, and you know how we love you as my own, however this became harder then I thought because frankly 12 yrs of all the numerous things you've done to help and better our family are simply too numerous to write.
But these are a few of what we see and love in you....

*Dancing in our kitchen like no ones watching...and dancing some more...
*Always assuming good intentions, any mean gossip or not so nice words, is always diverted by a nerf ball cutting thru the air...
*Your actions display to us your faith in God is in your heart, your thoughts & your mind, not on your resume, nor meant to impress, just trying to walk a path of loving thy neighbor, acceptance & tolerance....
*Loyalty and commitment you seem to never compromise, actually I see you value friendships and simply enjoy them...
*Helping anyone, with anything....you always have "the time"....
*We see you speak to your little girl, our sweet granddaughter so gentle, so kind, so strong, so fair, you are a true "Daddy's girl... Daddy".....
*How you make Lacey (our little girl) laugh, smile, love the life she's living, how you ease her troubles, how you keep her seeing the bright side of all dark sides....
*You've grown into our family for 12 years, with no conditions, no strings, and thru this you've added so much to our family...so a Thank you is also in order....Oh and Thanks for being Dads real friend...

There are so many more wonderful parts to this story but I will close with this....

*****"There are some people who make their presence felt with the things they do instead of the words they speak – that person is you. Happy birthday dear son-in-law"*****

Much love, health & happiness to you today and every day.
Robin "YaYa" and Scott "Poppy"

Oh and in true Scott form he wanted to add this....

Dear Brandon,
I know that you will enjoy my present more than a letter.
Hugs and Kisses,
Scott
